Hi Gaetan,

[cc to Morten and Andreas]

an excellent map projections page is here:
http://www.geocities.com/mapref/prj/prj.html
-> France
You can find the Lambert II etendu there (written for
ARCInfo but easy to adapt).

Yes.

Other Projection coordinate system? (y/n) [y] y

Please enter a one line description for location <gaeton>
test

Please specify projection name
lcc

Please specify ellipsoid name
clark80

Do you want to specify a map datum for this location?(y/n) [n]
n

[it would be: Central Point/Datum: Croix du Panthéon, but this is missing in
GRASS as far as I know)]

    Enter Central Parallel [lat_0] (23N) : 46:48N

    Enter First Standard Parallel [lat_1] (33N) : 45:53:56.108N

    Enter Second Standard Parallel [lat_2] (45N) : 47:41:45.652N

    Enter Central Meridian [lon_0] (96W) : 2:20:14.025E

Enter plural form of units [meters]: meters

You are right - seems to be missing. We'll dig into this.
Thanks for notification!

You have the "default region" which refers to the maximum region, and
the "current region" with are the current settings. Perferred settings
within the "default region" can be defined as "mapsets". Personally
I simply define location (="default region") and "mapset" identical,
but this is up to you. The current settings can be managed with
g.region, d.zoom etc.

Hope to have a solution for the false easting soon,
