Hi ! ....

I'm running GRASS5.0.0Pre1 (pre compiled) on a Suse 7.1 No problems :

GDAL: what comes with the distribution of GRASS is missing a library .. 
get the latest GDAL (precomipled see one of the list messages .. and/or 
attach.)insatall it and it worked for me.

NVIZ: similar problem the TCL/TK libraries are in a wrong place ... a 
couple of symbolic links from /lib/libtk8.3.so.1 
to /usr/lib/libtk8.3.so1,the same for the tcl and all went OK ...
