Dear GRASS users,

I've followed tips given by the list, and have:
 - reduced the complexity of the raster;
 - swapped the background/foreground color;
 - set a TIFF world file.

Now r.thin works fine and r.line too!
Thank you to all those who replied my message!

In order to upgrade GRASS 5.0 from pre1 to pre3, I need to solve a problem
with DB libraries that stop grassmake5.
