[GRASSLIST:2935] problem with raster

Hello, 

a few days ago, I decided to install grass5pre2 in
order to see if it was what I'm looking for my Msc.

I'm doing some tests, but there's a problem. After
importing data from arcview shape file, I try to
convert it to raster. but the result, in the monitor,
is strange. Instead of a dreinage layer, I get a white
picture with few collored dots in it (several
colors...). Am I doing something wrong?
