[GRASSLIST:3001] how to resize d.mon window?

Hi all,

I can't seem to resize the X graphics monitor window for grass (ie. the
window created by 'd.mon start=x0').  Is this a problem with my window
manager (blackbox 0.61.1 on red hat linux 6.2) or am I missing something?

I found an email in the list archive
(http://op.gfz-potsdam.de/GRASS-List/Archive/msg04408.html) refering to
giving d.mon a window size on startup, but the d.mon manpage doesn't say
anything about it.
