No on the first, and what is a *.flt?  I presume it's some sort of raw
binary floating point data.  I'm not sure r.in.gdal handles floating
point raw data (handles bils/bips).  Probably could import via
r.in.bin, but you'll have to help it using the contents of the *.hdr
file (it's just text).
