[GRASSLIST:4106] vector data intersection

Dear GRASSLIST, 

I would like to intersect vector data in GRASS and the resulting
polygons should contain the attributes of each polygon. I tried with
v.patch and v.spag, but I have problems with then missing attributes. I
also tried v.cutter, but it doesn't seem to be what I am looking for. 

Then I found a solution for raster analysis with r.cross so I wonder if
there is a program or another way to get similar results for vector
data.

I hope somebody has an idea
