I am entering state plane coordinates for a new location. The coordinates 
generally correspond to a 2 degree x 2 degree rectangle: 110W to 112W and 
43N to 45N. However g.region.sh -l shows approximately 102W to 104W and 44N 
to 46N.

g.projinfo seems to show the correct lat & lon, however I don't see the 
false easting & northing (probably I'm just not reading it correctly).

That actually looks like a possibility because they did stick some very 
large shifts in the false easting & northing between NAD27 and NAD83. 
Another potential stumbling block is that I am working in feet, rather than 
meters.

Thanks for the help, I'll keep digging.

I'm new to this list - what's the protocol with a dialog such as this; 
should I reply to the list, the individual, or both?
