[GRASSLIST:3849] error starting tcltk

First time user looking for a little help:

after messing aroud with tcltk gui I quit it and opted to save the monitor 
state (2 radio buttons on quiting, I checked them both). Now when I try to 
restart tcltk I get this error:

Error in startup script: couldn't execute "xterm": no such file or directory
  while executing
"exec xterm -geometry 40x5 -e d.mon start=$monitor"
