the new library "edit" is a dependency for the other modules.
Please try

bin.i686-pc-linux-gnu/gmake5 src/libes/edit
(you may adapt the path)
and send us the error message.
I assume that the "ncurses" package is not installed (which you
find on your Mandrake CDROM).
