[GRASSLIST:1222] tcltkgrass problem

When I type "tcltkgrass&"  I get the response "[1] 3792" and nothing happens.

I saw previous post  about needing to have /usr/bin/wish directory but 
after untarring xtcltk* file from a number of "root" directories I do 
not get this directory.

Any ideas?
