Hi,
I've finaly got the 20092003 snapshot compiled. Now launching it I get a
weired problem:
#####################################################################
GRASS 5.7.0-cvs
LOCATION: This is the name of an available geographic location.
-spearfish-
is the sample data base for which all tutorials are written.
MAPSET: Every GRASS session runs under the name of a MAPSET.
Associated
with each MAPSET is a rectangular COORDINATE REGION and a list
of any new maps created.
DATABASE: This is the unix directory containing the geographic databases
The REGION defaults to the entire area of the chosen LOCATION.
You may change it later with the command: g.region
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
LOCATION: <UNKNOWN>_____ (enter list for a list of
locations)
MAPSET: <UNKNOWN>_____ (or mapsets within a location)
DATABASE: /home/antonio/local/src/grass57_exp_2003_09_20/bin.i
GRASS 5.7.0-cvs
AFTER COMPLETING ALL ANSWERS, HIT <ESC><ENTER> TO CONTINUE
(OR <Ctrl-C> TO CANCEL)
########################################################################
As you can see, the database il a very long path. Yet I can only get to
the n of bin with the keyboard and all that follows is not touchable.
The result is that I get:
LOCATION: tesi_laurea___ (enter list for a list of
locations)
MAPSET: molise________ (or mapsets within a location)
DATABASE: /home/antonio/grass5.1 .i
GRASS 5.7.0-cvs
and when I give <ESC><ENTER> I get:
ERROR: LOCATION <<
/home/antonio/local/src/grass57_exp_2003_09_20/bin.i686-pc-linux-gnu/<UNKNOWN>
>> not available
DATABASE </home/antonio/grass5.1 .i
GRASS 5.7.0-cvs> - not found
Hit RETURN -->
If I try modifying the GISBASE variable in the grass57 script I get:
[lun set 22, 10:42 ][antonio at gaia:~]grass57
/home/antonio/local/bin/grass57: line 29:
/home/antonio/grass5.1/etc/Init.sh: No such file or directory
/home/antonio/local/bin/grass57: line 29: exec:
/home/antonio/grass5.1/etc/Init.sh: cannot execute: No such file or
directory
How do I tell grass where my database is?
Thanks
