[GRASSLIST:1328] how to set default region?

hello,

I want to import some .e00 files. When I use "m.in.out", grass says:

ERROR: region for current mapset is not set
               run "g.region"

when I run "g.region", it says
ERROR: default region is not set

so how can I set the default region??
