Hello users and Laura,
I'm trying to use the GRASS command r.terraflow to get flow direction
and flow accumulation, graphically it seems to do a great work,
comparing to r.watershed but how do I read the maps?

    * running the command with or without the flag -s (with SFD or MFD)
the produced map is the same (no difference with r.mapcalc)... is
      it correct?
    * the value are in the range 0-255, does it indicate the direction
of the slopest path? why it is in 256 values and not in 360
      degrees? How to compute degrees?
    * how flow accumulation is computed?

Thanks a lot.
Maxi
