[GRASSLIST:4252] tcltk won't v.support

Grass 5.3.  I just did a cvs update.
Redhat Linux 7.3

>From tcltk menu Vector->Develop map->create
topology,  I get an error in a window that pops up:

couldn't execute "v.support option=build":no such
file or directory

Also, if I try the similar tcltk command v.support
option=edit, I get a terminal type window with:

/gis/local/grass53/tcltkgrass/main/pause:
{v.support: command not found

Finished - press RETURN or ENTER to continue

Note the single "{" character. 

These are the only 2 commands I am having trouble with.
