[GRASSLIST:3701] v.in.ogr postgis database specification

Hello

It's the postgis man again.

After my question on v.out.ogr here is a question on its brother, v.in.ogr:

I looked in the example in the help manual which gives the following:

v.in.ogr dsn="PG:dbname=postgis"  layer=polymap output=polygons  
type=boundary,centroid

I put the name of my db instead of postgis, instead of polymap I put the 
postgis layer I wanted to import and I run the module:
it gives me the following error
"cannot open datasource"

I was wondering if there can be an explanation.  My postgres is in my computer 
and the user I use for running grass is also the administrator of the 
database...
