I have installed binary files of grass5.7. It is working fine (gdal
import and nviz as well) but when I am trying to use r.in.aster the
segmentation fault appears:

importing into GRASS

ERROR 4: `/home/pers/grass_dbase/NW_Spitsb_LL/PERMANENT/.tmp/thera/1943.0.tif' does not exist in the file system,
and is not recognised as a supported dataset name.

Hmmm... I have not idea what is wrong. proj and gdal are present adn visible from inside grass.
Is it possible that current linux binaries will not support r.in.aster?
