[GRASSLIST:4698] ranlib+libjpeg+OS X

Hello list,

I finally decided to install 5.7 so i decided also to install an
updated version of 5.3

As always i followed the instructions at
http://webpages.charter.net/kyngchaos/macosx/install/libjpeg.html

While compiling libjpeg though i encountered the following error:

ranlib .libs/libjpeg.a
ranlib: warning: cannot infer operation mode from `.libs/libjpeg.a'
ranlib: you must specify a MODE
Try `ranlib --help' for more information.
make: *** [libjpeg.la] Error 1

I have updated the libtool.

Any ideas??

P.S. Why is there no vector commands dir in the grass 5.3 source tree??
Is it migrated to 5.7?
