 From this release Grass 5.4 for Mac OS X is built with shared libs.

Features:
- all modules compiled;
- ONE single application;
- only 55.2 MB on disk (14.5 MB zipped) down from 180 MB of 5.3.0 
built with static lib;
- this application will required OSX 10.2.x or later, X11 and grass 
libraries (from my site);
- you can run this app anywhere on your hard disk (I prefer put it in 
/Application/Grass);
- no more grass54 folder outside but the folder is completely inside the app.

I have always separated Grass app from Grass libraries. Now Grass5.4 
is very compact and my GRASS GIS COMPLETE for OS X is much smaller 
than before, near 100 MB versus 160 MB.

My Grass OS X distribution coming out after 5.4 release ......
