Does your X server support the GLX extension?

Which OpenGL libraries is the nviz binary using? If they were supplied
by your graphics card vendor (e.g. nVidia or ATI), they may only work
with a local X server.

Do other OpenGL programs (e.g. glxinfo, glxgears) work?
