[GRASSLIST:5874] ERROR: MAPSET PERMANENT in make

Why when I'm running make (grass5.6beta2) i get the following error?

ERROR: MAPSET PERMANENT - permission denied

But I'm only compiling the source code and no GISDB still defined.......
What I'm missing????
