I actually use RedHat WS 3.0 and Grass 6.0. I had greater success installing 6.0 from the Development Binaries than trying to use the RPM packages (see the bottom of the download page). You should be able to find the any required packages listed to run the binary on rpmfind.net. Hope that helps.
