The problem i have has been treated on this mailing list but not answer
has been given.
Whenever i try to use FWTools-linux-0.9.6 or grass54, on a Suse 8.2, i
get the same error:
"ImportError: bin/../lib/libgeotiff.so: undefined symbol:
TIFFMergeFieldInfo". 
It may be related to having an older version of libtiff or tiff
installed on the system but even uninstalling them i keep on having the
same error.
Any clue will be appreciated.
