[GRASSLIST:6232] Default Region Settings

Hi everyone,
I'm using Grass 6.0 (cygwin) on Windows 2000. I'm getting an error when attempting to open a raster.

Opening the same raster in 'NVIZ' poses no such problem and everything works perfectly

Any suggestions would be welcome.
