[GRASSLIST:9055] v.net.path

Dear GRASSusers,
I'm not able to run v.net.path with more than a couple of points.
The command:
echo "1 592634 4925356 596568 4922912" | v.net.path in=roads ou=roads_pt

works properly, but

echo "1 592634 4925356 596568 4922912 2 591738 4923061 593170 4915608" |
v.net.path in=roads ou=roads_pt

gives the error "Wrong input format"

What's the right way to put more points in the command?

PS: The form:
v.net.path in=roads ou=roads_pt <<end
> 1 592634 4925356 596568 4922912
> 2 591738 4923061 593170 4915608
> end

works very well.
