[GRASSLIST:8529] Grass & Aster DEM Creation, Any Possiblities?

Hi all,

I have an area (can't say where in the world) and we would like to have 
a good DEM.  The 90m SRTM is too coarse.  We have bee digitizing the 
crappy quality 1:25,000 scale topos but that is not fun and 
Raster2Vector is not very feasible becuase of said quality.

I was wondering about the possiblities of using GRASS to create a 30m 
DEM from Aster imagery.  Any thoughts on the matter?
