[GRASSLIST:8665] r.le.setup (Grass 6.0) with samling units as sites

Dear List,

Im currently using the r.le suite pf programs to analyse the texture of 
some sattelite imagery. My problem (grass 6.0) is when I want to run 
r.le.setup and sample "centred over sites", when I select my site map the 
following warning and error occurs

WARNING: Vector used instead of sites.
ERROR: G_get_site() not yet updated.

Im a fairly basic user of grass. But Im assuming that the r.le.setup 
program is expecting to use a site file (version Grass 5.0) rather than 
the Grass 6.0 Vector file. Is there a simple fix I can do to stop this 
happening.
