[GRASSLIST:8309] problem in using v.external

hello

when I create a vector connecting to a postgis table, grass gives this 
error message:

GRASS 6.0.1 (bartin):~ > v.external dsn="PG:host=localhost user=orkun 
dbname=bzk"  layer=faygis1 output=fayp4
DBMI-OGR driver error:
Cannot select:
select FID from faygis1 where FID = -1

Building topology ...
WARNING: Random read is not supported by OGR for this layer, cannot build
         support.


what might the problem be ?
