[GRASSLIST:893] Georeferencing satelite photos

Hello!

Currently I try to find a possibility to use GRASS for work with the sat. 
photos I downloaded from NGIA Raster Roam 
(http://geoengine.nga.mil/geospatial/SW_TOOLS/NIMAMUSE/webinter/rast_roam.html).
They are simple raster images in jpg, png, tiff etc. format with geogr. 
coordinates and datum given.

The question: is the quick way to reference the images without calculation of 
EDGES coordinates and use several points inside instead (like in MapInfo 
e.g.)
