Dear Aldo,
in GRASS 6.1.0 v.patch was improved

-> *v.patch*: attribute transfer, if table structures are identical
Probably this solves the problem for you (i.e. that you won't
even have to use v.db.connect any more).
You can download various RPMs from the download page.
