[GRASSLIST:9748] Mesa OpenGL libraries are hardware accelerated?

I was wondering if the Mesa OpenGL libraries are hardware accelerated?

I've got an nVidia GeForce 6200.
I've been using the Linux Mesa libraries to compile GRASS with OpenGl.

Should I be getting my GL code from nVidia or are the mesa libraries
what I want?

Obviously, I'm clueless on this.
