[GRASSLIST:320] v.out.ogr error

Does anyone recognize this error from v.out.ogr? I get a similar  
error if I try to write directly to PostGIS. In both cases the  
command runs to ~ 25%, then fails with:

GRASS 6.1.cvs (minnesota_utm):~ > v.out.ogr input=mn_forties at pls  
type=area dsn=~/Desktop/tmp olayer=forties
Exporting 1314202 areas (may take some time) ...
