[GRASS-user] Networks: Strahler Order?

Hello list!

I am looking for a possibility to do a stream network classification  
after Strahler's method [1] with GRASS GIS.
Does anyone know a module that does such analysis (on either raster  
or vector data)?
Any hint how to write such a module is very welcome.

[1] sources have order 1, two streams of equal order join to form a  
stream with order+1
