reprojection with v.proj (was: [GRASS-user] v.in.ogr problems)

Hi again,

I've succeeded in importing the shape file into a new GRASS location, but
encountered yet another hurdle when trying to reproject that into another
location using "v.proj input=coastline location=newloc mapset=PERMANENT
output=coastline":


PROJ_INFO file not found for location newloc


How can the PROJ_INFO file be generated?  Any further hints welcome.
