[GRASS-user] building solids

Hi list,

I'm curretnly trying to develop a 3D model of an aquifer and would like to create solids for each of its geological units. I have the surfaces that bound the solid but now I don't know how to actually create. 
can someone also guide me in how to format 3d vectors (i.e. faces).
