Try:
	export GRASS_NO_GLX_PBUFFERS=1
	export GRASS_NO_GLX_PIXMAPS=1

Unfortunately, a number of OpenGL drivers claim to support pBuffers
and/or GLX Pixmaps then crash (sometimes quite horribly) if you
actually try to use them.
