Based on this (following) communication am I to believe that all the effort I have put into this process so far will lead me back to the drawing board when I try to implement 6.2 on a windows system running cygwin?

I think this is mainly due to the fact that we are not very far from a
real native windows version. I think dev efforts should rather be put
into that.
