[GRASS-user] v.generalize / reanimation of dead lines ?

Hi,

when trying to derive a continous coast_line_ from the GSHHS data set.
For this, the data was reduced using v.generalize (douglas, threshold=0.001).

Since the reduced coastline consists of several lines (with individual categories), I tried v.build to snap them together into a (hopefully) one long and friendly line.

Alas, v.build throws:  
  
V2_read_line_nat(): Attempt to read dead line 26199

Any advice how to "reanimate" the dead lines ??
