[GRASS-user] Generating Vector Data From Legal Description

Is there a way to plot legal descriptions in GRASS?  Where one is provided
with textual starting and end points, and then all the distances and angles
in between to construct the parcel.

For example, the legal may be "point of beginning is at X,Y" location. then
the legal goes something like, "then South 90 degrees West a distance of 900
feet; thence North 0.5 West a distance of 200 feet; etc, etc, etc. until
back to the point of beginning"

I'm not a surveyor, so I dont know all the details of legal descriptions.
