[GRASS-user] Plateau / Flatbed detection

Would a basic topographic analysis suffice, e.g. if the slope is < 5 
degrees = flatbed?  You can also do topographic feature classification 
(http://www.soi.city.ac.uk/~jwo/phd/04param.php).
