[GRASS-user] Better looking resampling from i.rectify

Hello,

It appears that nearest neighbor is the only resampling method in i.rectify,
are there any methods or tricks for getting better looking results
rectifying bitmaps? Or other programs or tools that do this?

I am working with high-res old maps, and want to retain all the detail I can
at 100%. Currently I have i.rectify targeting a slightly larger canvas, and
it looks ok, but the jagged edges are distracting. I imagine I could target
to a much larger canvas and then downsample the resulting image, but am
worried about the time i.rectify would take to execute. Any advice?

Thanks,
Martin
