[GRASS-user] making hachures with ps.map

Hi,

I'm trying to mimic an old map style using ps.map (my favorite map
layout tool). For making hachures, I used vpoint where aspect is
rotatecolumn and slope is sizecolumn parameter.

The map looks like this:

It looks more like half-toning than hachures. I want to improve the
style by reducing number of lines, exaggerating the areas with high
relief, etc. Any suggestions?
