well, did you are recompile?

Unless you don't recompile it won't work.
The "first" instance above is a copy created during compilation
of the "second" instance which is the real code.

1. Patch
 grass640_rc5/include/iostream/

2. configure

3. compile

4. install or run directly from GRASS from
   grass640_rc5/bin.i686-pc-linux-gnu/grass64

All clear like mud? :)
