[GRASS-user] does v.report fail?

Hi List,
running v.report I found an error in calculating Area (km^2). In my data 
it gives me a value of 3.33 km^2 while v.what gives: Sq Meters: 
32942069.000 (33 km^2). I know that the correct answer is v.what (i know 
the area value).
