hi,

I've also tested WinGRASS-6.4.SVN-r42815-1-Setup.exe on my WinVista32-box 
with the manpage-example from spearfish (also dbf).

v.rast.stats, v.info, v.db.select, v.univar are working normally (all modules finished in about 1 minute).

but I've seen that, during v.rast.stats is processing, zoom in and out in the mapdisplay, v.rast.stats
can't finish correctly (message:  ...elevation.dem can't be closed...) and in the mapdisplay 
vector- and raster-maps are displayed in a mess. 

maybe beacause of a temporal mask in the process?

I just tried with 6.4 nightly build r42815 on XP + the example in
the man page+dbf, and it seemed to freeze during a call to v.info
with cpu use at 0% and lots of free RAM.

^C did not seem to work from the msys rxvt terminal.. had to "X"
the term window.

now added -x to the shebang in the script (not sure if that does
anything on wingrass), set DEBUG=5, and used --verbose. It's still
running after ~10 minutes, lots and lots of debug messages to get
through...  will try DEBUG=3 or less next time.
