Hi Stefan,

>Enter Central Meridian (96W) :

>What do I have to type in? I already tried: 13.20E; 13,20E; 13E20 ...

what about 13.33333333333333 ?

always a great help is http://www.spatialreference.org which shows all the projection- and geopgraphical-systems
defined by epsg (http://www.epsg.org/, http://www.epsg-registry.org/) in different views (esri wkt, proj4-string, etc.) which most of
these different views of the same projection can be used to define a location in grass.

for example the all the MGI-defined projections for Austria can be find there: http://www.spatialreference.org/ref/?search=MGI&srtext=Search)

HTH
best regards
Helmut

p.s. but also I couldn't find the format in the help pages?
