You'll have to supply some more details:
What steps did you do before i.class?
What error message did you get?
What OS? What version of GRASS?
etc...

BTW, to the best of my knowledge, i.class won't work on Windows. Here's 
a link to a thread that explains how to do image classification without 
needing i.class:
