[GRASS-user] Finding the value of a point in a raster map

Hi,

I am writing a r.mapcalc instruction, and I would like to find the value of a point in the map (other than the point that the window is currently at). 
More precisely, in a raster dem I would like to calculate the difference between the height of one point and the rest of the map. I appreciate if any one can help.
