[GRASS-user] overlapping areas seem valid to v.build: why?

Pardon my ignorance,
how is possible to distinguish areas without centroids from holes?
And why it doesn't make sense?

Maris,
just finished converting and cleaning CAD (spaghetti) lines + points
to valid areas.
