[GRASS-user] v.what.rast taking too long

Hi,

I want to use various values of smoothing in v.surf.rst.
Therefore I need to have a column of smoothing values in the database table
of input points.
I wanted to populate this column from a raster using v.what.rst.
However, without success. It takes propably too long. I have 5 milion
points, but actually
also in a test with 70 thousands, it does not work, for a hundred, it is ok.
I use the simplest db driver - dbf.

Dont you have an idea how to go over this simple task?
